Revered for its vitreous lustre and opacity, the glass-like black gemstone is believed to evoke a deep sense of inspiration and empowerment. Its jet-black hue believed to transmute negativity and encourage positive alignment. A naturally occurring gemstone ranking 8 on the Mohs hardness, Black Spinel is formed when molten rock combines with limestone, causing metamorphic activity to occur.
